Shadowmyst Labradors....

Dauber x River Litter

This breeding combines three very special Labrador pedigrees.

On the top, Dauber's pedigree, there are some of the nicest chocolate dogs in the history of the breed, including CH Borador's Willcare Master Copy WC, ("JD") who is on both sides of Dauber's pedigree. JD is sired by the gorgeous CH Willcare's Masterpiece CD, JH.

Behind Dauber's fabulous sire, "Baker"-CH Lubberline Pumpernickle, are several other wonderful chocolates. CH Hunt Club Clayview Brown Derby, Hunt Club Clayview Eli, and Epochs Edward of Bonaventure.

Dauber himself has already, at the age of 2, laid claim to being a Specialty Winner, taking a 5 point major at Piedmont.

Dauber's pedigree goes back to some of the most influential English lines in the breed.

River's pedigree encompasses two great pedigrees with some very impressive achievements. River's sire, "Pete" (CH Franklin's Pickpocket for Kerrybrook MH), achieved both a Championship and a Master Hunter title at the age of 3, earning the distinction of the youngest labrador in history to earn both of those titles. Pete is a historic dog for other reasons too, being one of the few Champions in the breed to have Field Champions (FC AFC Hiwood Piper) and Dual Champions (Dual CH Hiwood Shadow & Dual CH Warpath Macho) in his pedigree. Pete will remain an icon in the history of the Labrador Retriever. You can read more about Pete at his owner, Chris' website.

River's dam, "Drifty", is a littermate to the 1999 Westminister Best of Breed Winner, Frosty. Drifty's dam, "Snobear" (CH Pine Edge Ridge View Snobear) is the Top Producing Labrador Bitch in history, producing 18 Champions. Drifty's sire is one of the all time top producing sires in history, CH Tabatha's Drifter at Dickendall JH, who is descended from probably the most well known line of stud dogs in the country, if not the world; Dickendall Arnold and Dickendall Ruffy.

The Ridge View dogs have long been a major influence in pedigrees across the nation and go back to some of the very best American lines.

We feel that the blend of these pedigrees brings together some of the finest lines of labradors in the country and will give us great opportunities in the future. Keeping the working ability alive and well with River & Pete's working lines, bringing in the consistent excellence in structure and conformation of Dauber's pedigree and knowing the longevity behind Ridge View and the type and temperament of the Dickendall dogs, all these things make this breeding something special to look forward to. We think it's going to be a fantastic litter.
