| Vision is semi-retired and works in the P.A.L. (Pets Always Listen) program at Fremont Elementary School where owner, Miss De Penning teaches 2nd grade. Vision is a perfect reading partner who never judges and always listens. She is well loved by all of the students at Fremont Elementary. |
| In 2012 Vision was nominated for the IVMA Iowa Animal Hall of Fame, which is co-sponsored by Merck Animal Health. The Iowa Animal Hall of Fame awards pets for their bravery, companionship and professional contributions to people and the community. More than 40 animals, including dogs, cats and horses, from across Iowa have been inducted into the Hall of Fame since its inception 13 years ago. We are SO proud to announce that Vision has been selected as the WINNER of the Companion Animal Category for 2012. There could not be a more deserving dog. Vision's outstanding temperament and unconditional love of everyone shines through her every day. We would like to thank Teresa Carmichael DVM of Mahaska Veterinary Clinic for nominating Vision for this award and the teachers, staff and parents who wrote testimonials about Vision's service to the Fremont Elementary School. We are grateful to the Administration of Fremont Elementary for allowing Vision to come to school and encourage students to read! We are humbled and honored to know that she is so appreciated.
