On May 15th, 2001, Mac celebrated his 12th birthday.
We had a group swim in the pond with all his kennelmates, his kids and grandkids. We celebrated Mac's vigorous health at this age by watching him do water retrieves, butt-tuck around the field, and bound into the air after the stick. We thought about all the nice dogs he has produced in the past, all his grandkids and great-grandkids. We relished his son Echo's Group 4 and Started Retriever titles both won just last month, his daughter Risky's upcoming litter and his 8 week old grandkids who enjoyed a swim with him.
But, most of all, we celebrated the fact that he continues to produce fine Labrador Retrievers.
On his 12th birthday, Mac was the proud sire of 7 beautiful 9 week old puppies and we had just seen 2 of his beautiful 4 month old daughters. And, to top it all off, we saw the ultrasound of a puppy from his upcoming litter with English Import, Lyndhurst Jasmine.
Aat age 13, he continued to sire beautiful litters. One of his last litters in May, 2002 was a litter of 12.
Mac at the 1999 National....once again, 2nd to Signy in Veterans, 1st in Sweeps.
Pictured at ten and a half years old....
his legacy lives on.

Mac went Best Opposite Sex out of the Veteran Class at the Columbia, Mo. Kennel Club show Sunday, March 14th, 1999 at age 9.

Earns His CD Title at age 9 1/2!!!
In February of 1999, Mac finished his Companion Dog title at the DMOTC obedience trial!
Mac takes Best Opposite in Veteran Sweeps at the 1998 National!
Mac also took 2nd in Regular Veterans! First place went to Ch. Boradors Significant Brother, who went on to Best Of Breed!
At 9 1/2, Mac is proving he still has what it takes!

Mac is a one of several generations of Specialty winners; his sire, 'Ditto', and one of his sons, Ch. Blackdux Knight Moves JH, WC (Kain) are both specialty winners. Kain has done exceptionally well in the show ring, having ranked in the top ten after winning BOB at the Potomac Specialty. Mac exemplifies the temperament, loyalty and working ability of the Labrador Retriever. He is a kind and gentle soul with tons of great attitude. Mac completed his CD title in Feb. of 1999 at the age of 9 1/2. At age 9 1/2, Mac went Best Opposite Veteran in Sweeps and 2nd place in Regular Veterans at the 1998 Labrador Retriever Club National. A repeat performance at the '99 National gave him 2nd again in regular Veterans and 1st in Sweeps.
Mac has produced many outstanding kids and is still going strong. Check out his kids, Belle, Django, Echo and Risky. His son, Shadowmyst Knight Spirit, (Echo) also took 1st in his Sweeps class at the '98 National and made the cut for Best in Sweeps! Like father, like son!
