If you return your registration for the next Beginners class with payment on or before the date of the Basics seminar, you can attend the Basics seminar for Free to help you get started on some basic manners with your dog or puppy.
Items covered will include appropriate corrections for problem behaviors such as inappropriate chewing, barking, biting/mouthing and jumping as well as additional guidance concerning housetraining, leash training and interactive play. The homework for Week One Beginners Class is also covered which will include the foundation for Sit, Down, Stand and Heel Position. Leadership routines and training help owners find the way to a balanced dog and relationship.
This two-hour session also provides a forum for questions owners have about various problems and training issues they are currently having with their dogs. This session is designed to give you a 'head start' before coming to class and provide you with things to work on while you wait for class to begin. You will also receive your Beginners Class packet at this session. It includes a comprehensive and practical collection of material relating to the fundamentals of training. You are not required to take the 8 Week Class and can benefit greatly from the K-9 Basics Seminar alone.
The dates are listed below when scheduled and are held at the same location as the classes. Your cover letter provides directions. If you plan to attend, please simply make a note on your registration form or email us. You will not bring your dog to this session. Pre-selected dogs will be used for demonstrations. This session is open to anyone at a cost of $25.00. It is ideal for those preparing to get a dog. Please tell your friends!
PLEASE NOTE: The Basics seminars are sometimes on Monday nights, rather than Tuesday like the 8 week classes. Please be aware of which Night your K-9 Basics Class is Scheduled for.
